Single Cru with a family tree

Eisenstadt, Österreich

In 1734 Prince Paul II Anton Esterházy took up his inheritance. In the same year he married a lady from the Lothringen court, Margravine Lunati Dame de Clevant, who would go on to set a milestone in Central European red wine culture in 1758. The prince’ s spouse had Pinoit Noir vines from Burgundy planted in Burgenland, laying the foundations of the Esterhàzy wine estates. Many of the historic details are featured on the labels of these quality vintage wines.
