Packaging

We knew Matthias Krön from Mona, Austria’s leading soya producer. At the time, Alessandri Design & Marken Manufaktur was working on a packaging relaunch for Joya. Two years later, he returned with a new venture of his own. Matthias had purchased the finest vineyards on the Eisenberg, which the international wine world considers Austria’s finest site. So the wine had to be something grand. So the theme is grandeur. That means large 1-litre bottles – in a context where the bottle itself symbolises quality. It also implies a great deal of self-confidence, with a touch of humour. That’s why we opted for opulent design, evoking the last age of splendour, the Fin de Siècle.
