From the stamp to the corporate identity
A design job that came with a fair bit of responsibility – after all, the image of Austria that 4 million visitors will take home with them as far away as China needs to be a beautiful one.
And so it is: modern from a typographical viewpoint, yet the corporate design still evokes a classic impression. A 10-kreuzer stamp from the time of Emperor Franz Joseph served as the inspiration for a grid-based ornament (see main logo), which appears as a consistent imperial motif on all merchandising items and works on every form of packaging.
Polygonal, rectangular, round, oval, on boxes, packets and banderoles. Added to this is a recurring colour palette and a varied world of illustrations that creates a tongue-in-cheek spirit which, in our view, fully lives up to the reputation of Schönbrunn (and thus Austria).
