Tradition for the National Library

Kuratorium Kulinarisches Erbe Österreich, Austria



         

It’s all about schnitzel, Gugelhupf and goulash, Kasnudel and wine soup. Because menus and preferences are constantly changing along with the deans, and national and regional cuisine never stands still, the board of trustees for Austria’s culinary heritage association decided to document the status quo of the nation’s favourite dishes. The ingredients were lovingly folded together in a book, which was then formally presented to the National Library.
