Hannes Sabathi was already in a class of his own when he came to us back in 2006. When Cordula visited him in Gamlitz he flitted from vine to vine, plunging his hands into the soil and explaining that the most important part of any wine is the earth its roots grow in. The task of translating this enthusiasm and Hannes’ uniqueness into a brand fell to Alessandri Design & Brand Studio. No mean feat, given the sheer number of estates using the Sabathi name – but the “S” root took hold as Hannes’ own personal trademark in no time at all, with his wine becoming a must-have for those in the know in retail and the restaurant trade.
In 2014 we developed another label for Hannes for Spar Austria. The bottles leapt off the supermarket shelves, the labels conveying freshness and honest enjoyment at great value for money. While Spar started out with just a few thousand bottles of Sabathi’s wine, the new design soon proved a runaway success. They now sell ten times this amount and demand is rising all the time.
