Hannes Sabathi was already a one-of-a-kind character when he joined us in 2006. When Cordula visited him in Gamlitz, he leapt from vine to vine, dug his hands into the earth and explained enthusiastically that the most important thing was the soil in which the wine takes root. It was now up to Alessandri Design & Marken Manufaktur to transform this enthusiasm and Hannes’s uniqueness into a brand. Given the numerous wineries bearing the name Sabathi, this was no easy task – and yet: in no time at all, the root-shaped ‘S’ became Hannes’s trademark and his wines became sought-after bottles for connoisseurs and enthusiasts in the hospitality industry and specialist retail.
