From 1978 to 1982 Cordula Alessandri attended the University of Applied Arts in Vienna,
where she majored in graphic design with Prof. Herbert Schwarz.
Subsequently she got three more years of basic training with her typographic mentor Joey Badian.
1985, at the age of 24, she became art director at DDB Needham Worldwide Vienna.
Autumn 1987, Cordula founded alessandridesign located in her appartment. Alessandridesign was an immediate success.
3 months later, January 1988, Cordula and her first Team.

1990, alessandridesign moved to a small factory in Vienna 9.
Working with a team of young talented freelancers she encourages the developing creatives
to evolve their own ideas continously.
Numerous national and international awards and publications approve the high standards Cordula Alessandri is demanding
of herself and her team: 1x Austria National Award for Book Design, 6x Design Award of the German Republic,
1x European Design Award, 1x ADC Austrian Gold Award, 9x ADC Austrian Silver Award, 14x ADC Austrian Bronze Award,
35x ADC Austrian Merit Award, 1x ADC Europe Nominee, 1x ADC Europe Merit Award, 1x ADC New York Silver Award,
1x ADC New York Merit Award, 4x TDC Tokyo Merit Award, 2x Red Dot Award, 7x Joseph Binder Award,
1x Wine and Spirits Gold Award, 2x Label of the Year,1x Golden Pixel Gold Award, 2x Golden Label Award,
2x Best Calendar Award, 1x Cresta Award New York, 2x Biennale Brünn Merit Award
For two years she taught communication design at the University of Arts in Saarbrücken, Germany.
Apart from that she is invited to give lectures or take part in juries on regular basis. Her performances are focused
on the concept of “Sense and Sensuality in Design”.
